A queen room with your own private ensuite, inside our family home. You’ll share the kitchen with us, and we clear the top shelf of the fridge just for you. You’ll share the house with Holly, Julian, and two large, friendly dogs. Best for couples happy to share a kitchen and meet the people, and dogs, who live here.

A shared home, honestly

We want you to know exactly what you’re booking. This is a room in our home, not a separate apartment, the kitchen and living areas are shared with us. For the right guests, that’s the whole appeal: local knowledge, a warm house, and hosts who are around when you need them. If you’d rather have your own front door and full kitchen, our Two Bedroom Unit is the one for you.

The room

Your queen room is private with its own door. The ensuite has marble-look tiling, a glass shower with brass fittings, and plenty of space. A custom wardrobe gives you somewhere to unpack properly rather than living out of a suitcase. There’s also an outdoor BBQ on our deck, and you’re welcome to use it.

Host tip, cooking with Julian: Julian loves to cook. If you want to cook steak or lamb, he’ll happily help you out with our sous-vide setup, and he’ll gladly cook your steak perfectly for you.

The dogs

Rocket and Luna live here too, and for a lot of our guests they’re the highlight of the stay. Not a dog person, or a bit nervous? No problem, we’ll keep them away from you completely. Just tell us when you book.

Location

At the Jack’s Point end of Hanley’s Farm, under The Remarkables, a quieter, mountain-side alternative to Queenstown CBD. Full address, parking and arrival directions are sent as soon as you book.
